It is predominantly focused on the use of comparative method and on the cognition of the teaching process as the didactics of FL2 is based on the fact that students learning FL2 already have some experience with FL1 (first foreign language). In fact, the didactics of the FL2 should always be understood as triangle of mutual relations among ML (mother language) - FL1 - FL2. When comparing French and Russian, the interface of these languages is mainly constituted in the vocabulary and the socio-cultural part of the communicative competence. And thus teachers should be sensitive to the areas of the socio-cultural competence which students are familiar with and which they aren't.
